About Us

Who We Are

Wonderlingo is an online reading intervention program specializing in K–2 literacy development. We support children who are struggling to read by providing structured, research-based instruction that builds strong foundational skills and lasting confidence.

Every lesson is intentionally designed to be explicit, systematic, and joyful , because young learners make the most progress when they feel capable, supported, and encouraged.

Mission Statement

We believe every child can learn to read when given the right instruction and support.

Our mission is to guide children through a clear, research-aligned reading pathway that strengthens skills, builds confidence, and helps reading finally "click."

Our Story

Why Wonderlingo Exists

Too many children fall behind in reading not because they lack ability, but because they haven't received instruction that matches how the brain learns to read. Large class sizes, limited instructional time, and one-size-fits-all approaches can leave gaps that grow over time.

Wonderlingo was created to close those gaps early—using proven reading science, small learning environments, and caring, encouraging instruction—so children can experience success before frustration takes hold.

Our Approach

Evidence-Based Reading Instruction Aligned with the Science of Reading

Our instruction is grounded in the science of reading and proven literacy research.

Science of Reading Aligned Lessons

Lessons are designed using structured literacy principles inspired by high-quality, research-aligned resources. Wonderlingo is not affiliated with or endorsed by any specific curriculum publisher.

Fluency Practice

Guided practice that helps students read smoothly, accurately, and with expression.

Explicit, Systematic Phonics

Clear, step-by-step instruction that teaches children how sounds connect to letters and words.

Decodable Texts

Reading materials carefully aligned to skills students have already learned, reducing guessing and building confidence.

High-Frequency Word Mastery

Building automatic recognition of common words to support reading accuracy and fluency.

Continuous Progress Monitoring

Ongoing assessment to track growth and adjust instruction as needed.
